Testimonials

I had an appointment for a chronic shoulder issue and was delighted with the positive results we achieved. Holly is very smart and has a passion for the profession that is refreshing. Very knowledgable about the Shockwave machine which helped. I will be recommending her to my friends and will tell my doctor t refer patients to her.

I’ve recently herniated a couple discs in my lower back. It was a very scary experience for me, I couldn’t walk and was in excruciating pain. It has taken a lot of time and care from several modalities but I am walking again! Hillary Beck has been amazing- her care and enthusiasm helps me stay positive through all of this. Every morning that I am able to put my own socks on I feel proud of myself and every time I walk into the clinic she seems just as proud! It’s not only that she has helped so significantly in my healing process but her encouragement and genuine desire to heal has just made me feel like I will be better in no time! I would highly recommend Hillary and this clinic!

“As a surgeon I use a knife to treat conditions but there are numerous conditions that cannot be treated operatively . Shockwave therapy can be used to successfully treat a wide variety of conditions without me having to do surgery or any kind of cutting. As a sports specialist/Orthopedist I most commonly see rotator cuff, knee and foot pathology. I use Shockwave Therapy to treat my patients for many of these conditions as well as issues such as Tennis Elbow, Achilles Tendinopathy, Planter Fasciitis and more. I utilize Pressure Wave for two reasons. One, I want to make my patients feel better, secondly I want to make patients better without having to operate. As a physician I implore you, the patient to seek out a medical professional that utilizes Pressure Wave technology.”

I was involved in a work accident in 1990 and couldn’t really find the right treatment for me and then another car accident in 2004. I am finally getting the treatment, with the IMS, that helps me so much each week. Shelbourne Physiotherapy was on Shelbourne Street and then opened the Cook Street location, which is where I moved to with my therapist. Jennifer and the staff have treated me with the upmost treatment. I am so glad because, it was only because the other clinic I tried couldn’t get me in fast enough, after the accident, and now I am getting treated for everything, all in one place.

Thank you to all the present and past Shelbourne Physio staff, Jennifer, Jackie – Massage, Jeff and Penny. I really don’t know what I would have done without this clinic and technique.

“Regular physiotherapy treatments provided short term relief but the symptoms returned time after time. One IMS treatment with Rosie Chamberlin over a year ago and the symptoms are gone, disappeared.”

Laura Werner gave me an understanding of what was wrong with me and totally changed my feeling about my situation. I knew I had a prolapsed uterus and most likely needed surgery. She showed me in detail, with pictures, exactly what a prolapsed uterus was and how the pelvic floor muscles were involved. With her biofeedback machine, she helped me understand what a kegel exercise was and how to do it correctly and even actually see the pelvic floor muscle in action as I did my kegels. She also helped me to know what general exercises were safe for me to do to support my pelvic floor prolapse.

In my opinion, she is perfect for this job. You absolutely know she really cares about helping you. She immediately removes any discomfort, with her kind, understanding, positive and cheery demeanor. She gives 110% in her effort to make you feel comfortable, to help you understand your situation, and Laura does everything she can to help you. I left feeling that this did not have to be the end of the road; that I may not require surgery and that I could possibly fix this problem with kegels. I cannot think of anything else you could ask from a pelvic floor physiotherapist.

Hello, this email is intended to express by gratitude to Tara Tait, RMT for recommending I consult Lindsay Baker, at Shelbourne’s Cook Street Location, for pelvic floor physiotherapy.  I have been trying to find relief from a work related back injury that affects my lower abdominal region for over a year and Lindsay has helped me tremendously with my pain and quality of life.  I have recommended several people to her, and I am aware that several of them have also made the recommendation to other friends suffering from similar injuries.   Its great to know pelvic floor physio is out there, and there are treatments that can help!

Thank you very much!
