Holly Mallari

Physiotherapist, DPT, MPT, BScKin.

We are pleased to welcome Holly to our Victoria Physiotherapist team!

Holly understands first-hand the difference Physiotherapy can make in a patient’s life.  She competed internationally on Team Canada as a high jumper for several years but struggled with injuries throughout her athletic pursuits.  When she retired from competition, she focused her energy on becoming a Physiotherapist.  Holly completed her Master’s degree in Physiotherapy at the University of British Columbia.  Holly completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2019.

Holly recognizes that her patients may benefit from different forms of treatment and has focused her postgraduate work on ensuring a comprehensive, well-rounded repertoire of treatment for those suffering from orthopedic injuries.  She uses a combination of techniques rich in manual and manipulative therapy, including symptom modification, trigger point release, Shockwave Therapy, Functional Dry Needling(IMS) as well as client education and individualized exercise programs to achieve client goals.  Holly Mallari works closely with our Registered Kinesiologists to get the best results with exercise prescription and balance retraining. She firmly believes in treating not only patient symptoms but also the source of pain to ensure long-term relief for her patients. Holly can treat patients suffering from Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)

Prior to her Physiotherapy degrees, Holly graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.Sc. in Kinesiology and a B.Sc. in Psychology, accompanied by a minor in French from Washington State University She was a member of the WSU Athletics Track & Field Team and competed in high jump.

When not working in the clinic, Holly can be found taking advantage of our beautiful outdoor playground: she skis, plays volleyball, softball, and explores the trails with her dog.

Holly treats patients at our downtown Cook Street Victoria Physiotherapy Clinic located at 1175 Cook Street, Unit 308, Victoria, B.C. V8V 4A1.
